Honoring Mother Earth – Environmental Ethos
We believe that Portland Fashion Week® needs to promulgate a concept all Portlanders respect: an environmental ethos. We showcase every aspect possible where sustainability is concerned. From our use of eco-friendly make up and hair styling products, low wattage LED runway lights, recycled paper and going paperless when possible, and our tireless internationally recognized Carbon Mitigation Process whereby we offset our entire event’s carbon foot print by planting hundreds of native trees after each show.
Though lauded for our previous work, we will be incorporating additional sustainable aspects to the production of Portland Fashion Week®. From our locally crafted and distilled beers, wines and spirits and fusing regional and seasonal foods in our gourmet catering, we want to showcase what makes Portland not only unique and fashionable, but livable as well.
Giving Retailers a Chance to Shine Too
Portland has much to offer, including some of the best independent boutiques in the country. Retailers will have the ability to submit their boutique for runway show consideration. Retailers as well as designers will have the ability to submit their boutique for runway show consideration.
