Claire Doody was born in New York City and grew up in Seattle. She made Portland her home seven years ago after studying Costume Design and Fiber Arts with a focus on construction and fiber creation at Western Washington University. Working in retail since she was a teenager she has a great grasp on what women are looking for in the fit and fabric of their clothing.
Claire worked as an assistant to Andrew Harmon in New York City. She also worked for a private label manufacturing company, where she designed accessories for companies such as Urban Outfitters, Torrid, Hot Topic and The Limited. Claire is thrilled to be debuting her line and forging her own path in the plus size market.
