We look very good in green.
Portland, Oregon Green Street Stewardship, PFW 2022 info.
Way to be to all of the people and businesses who take beautifying the city seriously!
For about 7 years now Portland Fashion Week producers, models, designers, stylists and photographers have volunteered time and talent having taken care of 3 ground water surface run off swales along NE Glisan street bordering the Glendoveer Golf course. By clearing debris, picking up garbage and keeping the drains clear before and after heavy rains, we help East Mulnomah County’s groundwater restoration project work.
A labor of love, unglamorous and until now unthanked, we have completed quarterly cleanings helping to remove everything from fast food wrappers, branches, weeds to once even a car. (The car was really something. :D A tow truck couldn’t pull it out it was wedged so badly, so a crane was brought in to lift it out!)
Thanks to our progressive city and participating businesses and individuals in seeing this benefit too, And thanks to our city as well for showcasing those endeavoring to beautify!
Please visit these links below for more about the Green Street Stewardship Program, how you may possibly help and all what they have done!

This year has continued to bring new challenges so please continue to prioritize your safety and health. We are not expecting any activity on your adopted Green Streets, but if you did, please submit your winter activity log (January-March 2023) to me. I’ve attached a copy of the log.
Thank you so much again for being a part of the Green Street Stewards program. Also, congrats to our 2020 Green Street Steward winners! As always, please feel free to reach out to me if you need any support in maintaining your facility. I would also love to see photos of all your hard work!
